Tan Teck Ong
Qualification
Before reading law in England, Tan Teck Ong worked as a civil servant with the Sarawak State Civil Service. He qualified with a Bachelor of Law Degree and obtained his Barrister-at-Law with Honours from England. In 1982 he was called to the English Bar by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn, London and subsequently to the Bar in Sarawak. In 1986 he was admitted to the Roll of Advocates of the Supreme Court of Brunei. He was the Registrar of Land & Survey Department, Sarawak before coming out into private practice and subsequently setting up Messrs Tan & Yap Advocates which later became the present Messrs Tan, Yap & Tang Advocates.
Practice Areas
Teck Ong is a senior lawyer of more than 37 years of practice and is the managing partner of the firm. Although during the initial years, he was practicing as a litigation lawyer, he eventually converted to become a full conveyancing lawyer which he remains till today.
Teck Ong gives advice, opinions and prepares documentations and agreements in:-
- land matters;
- housing;
- development and construction;
- probate and wills;
- trusts;
- corporate matters;
- leases and tenancies;
- franchise and distributorship;
- partnership and joint ventures;
- all types of business arrangements/ventures/agreements.

Paul Tang Nguong Wee
Qualification
Paul Tang Nguong Wee graduated with a Bachelor of Law Degree from Victoria University of New Zealand in 1983 and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. He was admitted as an advocate of the High Court of Borneo in 1984.

Paul is a partner and a senior litigation lawyer of more than 35 years’ who has vast experience in advising, giving opinions and appearing in the courts of law in:-
- corporate disputes involving minority oppression, shareholders/directors, breach of duties, liquidation, etc;
- litigating disputes involving public liability, public and private nuisance, negligence, trespass and/or other tortious dispute(s);
- disputes in contractual and commercial matters;
- defamation;
- land matters;
- native land rights matters;
- banking matters;
- trust, wills and other inheritance;
- construction disputes;
- employment disputes;
- intellectual property.
Besides appearing in the courts of law, Paul also deals with and appears in arbitration, adjudication and/or mediation of construction, industrial and/or commercial cases.
In addition to that, Paul also does advisory work to corporate bodies (private and public listed), statutory bodies, bank and financial institutions on all legal matters.

Christine Bong Joo Pin
Qualification
Christine Bong graduated with Bachelor of Laws and Diploma in Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology, Australia in 2003. She was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2004 and practice in Brisbane, Australia as a solicitor. She was admitted to the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in November, 2005.

Christine is a partner whose practice covers both conveyancing and litigation.
In conveyancing, she is experienced in giving opinions, advice, preparing documentations and agreements in:-
- all matters involving corporate and retail banking;
- all real estate matters, including the acquisition and disposal of lands for development purposes;
- all corporate matters;
- partnerships/joint ventures;
- housing;
- construction;
- trust;
- settlement;
- franchise/distributorship;
- employment;
- wills;
- leases and tenancies;
- all types of business arrangements/ventures/agreements.
Christine is also experienced in appearing before government bodies for presentation for approvals for projects or undertakings of corporate bodies. She is also experienced in presentation to government and corporate bodies overseas such as China and South Korea.
In litigation, she handles: –
- all banking matters;
- family and matrimonial matters;
- cooperate debts recovery
Christine has been invited to give talks and presentations on matrimonial and family matters, wills, probates matters and Sarawak land matters.
Christine is also a Commissioner for Oaths.

Rodney Voon See Yang
Qualification
Rodney Voon graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (London) from University of London in 2012. Subsequently, he obtained his Certificate in Legal Practice (Malaysia) in 2013. He was admitted and enrolled as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in December, 2014.

Rodney is a partner and a litigation lawyer who is experienced in giving opinions, advice and appearing in the courts of law in:-
- litigating disputes involving public liability, public and private nuisance, negligence, trespass;
- disputes in contractual and commercial matters;
- corporate disputes such as minority oppression, shareholders/directors, breach of duties, liquidation;
- banking matters;
- land matters;
- trust, wills and other inheritance;
- construction disputes;
- employment disputes.
Rodney is involved in arbitration, adjudication and mediation of disputes mainly in construction matters and business or contractual/commercial transaction.
He also handles employment disputes in the Labour Court and Industrial Court.

Rebecca Ling Lik Ching
Qualification
Rebecca Ling graduated in 2014 from the University of Reading LL.B. (Hons) and thereafter obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice in 2016. She was admitted to the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in February, 2018.

Rebecca is a conveyancing lawyer and she is experienced in the documentation and preparation of application and agreements in respect of:-
- banking;
- housing;
- hire purchases;
- leases and tenancies;
- joint ventures;
- franchise and distributorship;
- wills;
- general conveyancing.

Pamela Bong Pei Min
Qualification
Pamela Bong graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) (LLB) from Queensland University of Technology (‘QUT’), Brisbane, Queensland, Australia in 2018. She completed her Practical Legal Training and successfully obtained her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at QUT, Australia in 2019, and was subsequently admitted to the legal profession as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland, Australia in 2019. She returned to Kuching, Sarawak in 2020, and was admitted and enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in September, 2021.
Practice Areas
Pamela’s area of practice involves civil litigation concerning contractual and tortious disputes, land matter/disputes, and conveyancing matters such as documentation and preparation of agreements in respect of real estate transactions, leases and tenancies. She is currently assisting Mr Paul Tang in contentious civil litigation.

Jean Wong Jing Wei
Qualification
Jean Wong graduated from the University of the West of England (UWE, UK) and obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in 2015. She worked as a paralegal in Peninsular Malaysia and previously practiced as a corporate secretary assistant in Singapore. She was then admitted and enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in December, 2019.
Practice Areas
Jean joined our firm in August, 2023. Her area of practice is in conveyancing matters such as documentation and preparation of agreements in respect of real estate transactions, leases and tenancies, banking documentation.

Samantha Tang Ee Sze
Qualification
Samantha Tang graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2020 and thereafter obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice in 2022. She was then admitted and enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in September, 2023.
Practice Areas
Samantha practices as a conveyancing lawyer in corporate works including drafting and reviewing agreements, development agreements, joint venture agreements, shareholders’ agreements, main contracts and subcontract agreements, provides advisory work to corporation and individuals and drafting of real estate transactions, tenancies and assisting in matrimonial cases.

Kimberly Tang Ju Sze
Qualification
Kimberly Tang graduated from Nottingham Trent University in 2020 and thereafter obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice in 2022. She was then admitted and enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in September, 2023.
Practice Areas
Kimberly practices as a conveyancing lawyer in the preparation and drafting of all corporate, commercial and retail banking loan documentations, handling housing and building projects including sales and end-financing, giving advice and opinion to financial institutions and corporate body concerning loan and finance.

Norita a/k Tambi
Qualification
Norita a/k Tambi initially graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science from University Malaysia Terengganu. She joined the firm in 2012 to be trained and worked in the litigation department. Eventually she was promoted as a personal assistant to Mr Paul Tang, the partner in charge of litigation. In 2016, she started reading law for a Bachelor of Jurisprudence (External) from Universiti Malaya. She worked full time and studied part time. She graduated with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence (External) from Universiti Malaya in 2021 and obtained her Certificate of Legal Practice (Malaysia) in 2023. She was then admitted and enrolled as an Advocate of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in November 2024.

Norita is a litigation lawyer and assists Mr Paul Tang and Mr Rodney Voon. Her principal areas of practices involve construction, contract and commercial disputes, corporate disputes, family and matrimonial matters, tortious cases, trust, debts recovery and land matters.
